A dance improvisation workshop focused on sensory experience – that is, interaction with materials and objects varying in weight, texture, elasticity or other properties. These interactions generate a specific bodily response, which serves as the starting point for movement research and improvisational tasks. Alongside intense physical practice, there will be a pinch of neuroscience, dance and neurodiversity context.
The aim of the workshop is to explore how and by what means sensory experiences can become the foundation of movement research; how the concrete and tangible, through embodiment and transformation, is translated into a specific yet abstract form.
The concept of the workshop draws on three sources:
– the movement and choreography practice of the workshop facilitator;
– neuroscience in the context of dance and the latest discoveries in this field;
– an exploration of the issue of sensory neurodiversity.
People with movement experience and those from the performing arts are particularly welcome to join. The series of sessions will form a coherent entity divided into thematic blocks.

The workshops are free
